Abstract:
With a view to providing an optical phase modulator that is compact in size and capable of operating at high speed, this optical phase modulator (11) is provided with: a block (13) which constitutes a magnetization free layer; and a first electrode (electrode 16) which is indirectly provided to a first surface (surface 131) of the block (13).
