Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an optical fiber core, an optical fiber cable, and an optical fiber tape core whereby transmission loss in a low-temperature environment of -60°C can be suppressed even in an optical fiber having high microbend sensitivity. [Solution] The present invention provides an optical fiber core 1 which, due to comprising at least one condition from among a degree-of-freedom condition of a primary layer 11 indicated by formula (I) and a rigidity condition of a secondary layer 12 indicated by formula (II), has a large effective core cross-sectional area Aeff of an optical fiber 10 at a wavelength of 1550 nm, and can suppress transmission loss in a low-temperature environment, and can suppress transmission loss in a low-temperature environment even when an optical fiber 10 having high microbend sensitivity is used. An optical fiber cable, etc., comprising this optical fiber core 1 has the effect exhibited by the aforementioned optical fiber core 1, and is an optical fiber cable, etc., comprising the optical fiber core 1, whereby transmission loss in a low-temperature environment can be suppressed.
