Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention discloses an operation administration and maintenance (OAM) overhead configuration method, and the method comprises: receiving, at a transmission end, service data from a client side, mapping the service data to a first subcarrier signal, and mapping an OAM overhead corresponding to the service data to a second subcarrier signal; and multiplexing, by means of frequency-division multiplexing, the first subcarrier signal and the second subcarrier signal in the same sub-band signal, and transmitting the sub-band signal at a network side. By using the above technical solution, service data and an OAM overhead are mapped to different subcarrier signals; therefore, when a relay device needs to modify the OAM overhead of a multiplex section, photoelectric conversion does not need to be performed on the service data, thereby reducing processing complexity and costs.
