Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of rotary switches, and specifically relates to an operating mechanism used in a rotary switch, said mechanism comprising a mounting base. An operating rod assembly used for manual rotation and a rotary disk assembly are provided inside the mounting base. An energy storage component is provided between the operating rod assembly and the rotary disk assembly. The rotary disk assembly, by means of forward rotation or reverse rotation, closes or opens a switch. Rotation of the operating rod assembly causes the energy storage component to drive the rotary disk assembly to rotate. A limiting piece is hingedly connected inside the mounting base, the limiting piece comprising a pushing part, and a blocking part. When the rotary disk assembly is positioned at a closed position, the blocking part is in the rotational path of the operating rod assembly or the energy storage component, thus having a blocking and limiting effect on the rotation of the operating rod assembly. In the case that a contact is melted and stuck, the rotary disk assembly is unable to rotate away from the closed position, and presses against the pushing part, preventing, by means of the blocking part, the operating rod assembly from rotating to the open position. An operator would then quickly realize that the contact had melted and make further safety operations, reducing hidden safety risks.
