Abstract:
An oil ring (1) having an oil ring main body (10) provided with a web part (11) and a pair of rail parts (12, 13), and a coil expander (20) attached to the radially inner section of the oil ring main body (10), the coil expander (20) urging the oil ring main body (10) radially outward, wherein: the radially-outward-facing outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of rail parts (12, 13) are formed into shapes each provided with tapered parts (16a, 17a) that gradually widen from the axially outer side toward the axially inner side, and protruding parts (16b, 17b) provided to the axially inner sides of the tapered parts (16a, 17a) so as to protrude radially outward from the tapered parts (16a, 17a); and circumferentially extending annular grooves (16e, 17e) are provided to radially-outward-facing sliding surfaces (16A, 17A) of the protruding parts (16b, 17b).
