Abstract:
An oil ring (1) has: an oil ring body (10) which is provided with a web section (11) having an oil passage hole (14) formed therein, and also with a pair of rail sections (12, 13) provided integrally on both sides axially of the web section (11), and which is formed in an annular shape having joint ends (10a, 10b); and a coil expander (20) which is mounted in a radially inner portion of the oil ring body (10) and which presses the oil ring body (10) radially outward. The axial distance (D1) between the axially outer edge of the outer peripheral surface (12b) of one rail section (12), the axially outer edge facing the outside radially, and the axially outer edge of the outer peripheral surface (13b) of the other rail section (13), the axially outer edge facing the outside radially, is set to 70% or less of the axial width of the oil ring body (10).
