Abstract:
A porous metal oxide characterized by being obtained by subjecting a metal alkoxide and/or a product of the partial hydrolysis/condensation thereof to sol-gel reaction in the presence of particles of a terminal-branched copolymer represented by general formula (1) and having a number-average molecular weight of 2.5×104 or lower to obtain an organic/inorganic composite and removing the particles of a terminal-branched copolymer from the composite.
