Title:
NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR LEAD ACID STORAGE BATTERIES, SAID NONWOVEN FABRIC USING GLASS FIBERS AND THERMALLY ADHESIVE BINDER FIBERS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/244681
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a nonwoven fabric (a pasting mat) that does not undergo bonding between nonwoven fabrics (pasting mats) even under severe conditions (such as the application of pressure during winding, high temperatures and high humidities during transport, storage, and production). [Solution] A pasting mat for lead acid storage batteries, said pasting mat comprising glass microfibers and thermally adhesive binder fibers, wherein: the thickness upon the application of a pressure of 20 kPa is at least 0.02 mm but less than 0.1 mm; and the bonding strength between the pasting mats after being left to stand for 48 hours under a pressure of from 5-10 kPa in an environment with a temperature of 70-90°C and a humidity of 75% is less than 0.05 N.
