Abstract:
Provided is a non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet having favorable fatigue characteristics that are suitable for rotor cores, and having excellent magnetic characteristics that are suitable for stator cores. This non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has a component composition comprising, in mass%, 0.01% or less of C, 2.0% to less than 4.5% of Si, 0.05-5.00% inclusive of Mn, 0.1% or less of P, 0.01% or less of S, 3.0% or less of Al, 0.005% or less of N, and less than 4.5% for Si + Al, with the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities. With regards to the crystal grains in the steel sheet, the average crystal grain diameter X1 is 60-200 µm inclusive, the standard deviation S1 of the crystal grain diameter distribution satisfies S1/X1 < 0.75, and the kurtosis K1 of the crystal grain diameter distribution is 2.00 or below.
