Abstract:
Provided are nickel particles having a surface region that contains an alloy of nickel and a metal element M. The metal element M is at least one element selected from tin and zinc. The metal element M content relative to the total amount of nickel particles is 0.16-11.4 mass%. The value of X/Y is 1.5-30, where X (at%) is the maximum value of the ratio of the number of atoms of metal element M relative to the total number of atoms of nickel element and metal element M in a region from the outermost surface to a sputtering depth of 5 nm in terms of SiO2 in the depth direction of the nickel particles when the region is measured through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis, and Y (at%) is the ratio of the number of atoms of metal element M relative to the total number of atoms of nickel element and metal element M when the nickel particles are measured through ICP emission spectrometry.
