Abstract:
The present invention relates to a neutron-shielding coded aperture having a boron polyethylene (PE) mask, which is attached to the front end of a tungsten mask pattern of a coded aperture and has the same pattern. In order to alleviate a neutron-shielding problem, a material, in which a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) having excellent neutron-shielding ability is mixed with boron, is attached to the front end of a conventional coded aperture so as to block both gamma rays and neutrons.
