Abstract:
The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery comprising same, the negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery comprising a negative electrode active material comprising natural graphite and a coating layer disposed on the surface of the natural graphite, wherein the XRD pattern orientation peak intensity area ratio (I110/I004) at a compression density of 1.40g/cc to 1.80g/cc is 0.08 to 0.16. By using the negative electrode of the present invention in a lithium secondary battery, charge output properties of the lithium secondary battery may be enhanced.
