Abstract:

A needle bearing used on the upstream side of a lubricating oil path, wherein leakage of the lubricating oil is minimized to improve lubrication of a bearing used on the downstream side of the needle bearing. A needle bearing (21) comprising an outer ring (22), needle rollers (23), and a retainer (24) for guiding the needle rollers (23), wherein flanges (27) protruding so as to approach the end surfaces of the outer ring (22) are provided on the outer diameter surfaces of both side edges (25) of the retainer (24), ridges (28) protruding so as to approach a journal are provided on the inner diameter surfaces of both the side edges (25) of the retainer (24), outer ring-side narrow sections (31) are formed by the flanges (27), and journal-side narrow sections (32) are formed by the ridges (28), the narrow sections (31, 32) suppressing leakage of a lubricating oil.
