A multi-section pole connection structure, and tent employing same as a horizontal pole and/or an upper pole. The multi-section pole connection structure at least comprises a first pole member (301) and a second pole member (302) for mutual sleeve connection. The first pole member (301) has an open end portion (3011) for the second pole member (302) to be sleeved on, and the open end portion (3011) is provided with an elongated recess (3012) on a side wall thereof. A fastening member (304) is connected between the first pole member (301) and the second pole member (302). The fastening member (304) movably passes, from the outside to the inside, through a side wall of the second pole member (302) and a side wall of the first pole member (301), engages with threads of the side wall on one side of the first pole member (301), and then presses against the side wall on the other side of the first pole member (301). The multi-section pole connection structure of the present invention enables stable connection, provides a large load-carrying capacity, and facilitates assembly.
