Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a multi-purpose hand tools / multitool for uses in key chain, scissors, bottle cap opener, saw blade, rasp and similar tools with different purposes by being gathered in one body or as a single unit in defense industry, hunting, hobby, camping activities and hunting areas, military areas or in daily life, provides users a more efficient use.

The devices of the multi-purpose hand tools/ multitoolsare fixed at a pivot point on the tool preventing shifting of the tools, and can be locked at predetermined different multiple angles bythe locking mechanism over the common pivot point. Therefore, users can use features on a tool efficiently and safely by locking the relevant tool, containing the needed feature, in a position suitable for hand ergonomics during use.

Prior Art

Today, multi-purpose hand tools / multitools are used which are colloquially referred as Swiss Army Knives that consist of can opener, knife, scissors, nail file, nail clipper, crow-nose, screwdriver, bottle opener and devices that meet similar requirements for use in hunting, military, scouting, search and rescue, first aid, hunting, hobby purposes, defense industry, camping activities and hunting areas, military areas or daily life and hold these devices together.

Since the tools of multi-purpose hand tools / multitools do not have any mechanism to enable them to be used at different angles during use and even if it stands still when the device is in fully open position, it cannot ensure the safety of the user as it is prone to closing with the slightest hand movement during usage due to the lack of locking mechanism and it is insufficient in terms of functionality.

Description of the Invention

Multi-purpose hand tool / multitool realized to achieve the aims of the present invention is shown in the figures.

Figure-1 is an exploded perspective view of the inventive multi-purpose hand tool / multitool that is the subject of the invention.

The inventive multi-purpose hand tool / multitool (1) comprises the following;

Multiple screw-sets (2) that are used so as to assemble all the hand tools of the multi-purpose hand tool / multitool (1),

Multiple washers (3) which are placed between the hand tools and allows the hand tools to move comfortably during use after they combined, prevents hand tools from being scratched or damaged,

First external hand tool / multitool (4) that has features thereon and forms the body so as to meet the needs of a plurality of operations, Second external hand tool / multitool (5) that has features thereon and forms the body so as to meet a plurality of needs,

At least two inner hand tools / multitools (6), that are placed during assembly between the first external hand tool (4) and the second external hand tool (5), that contain;multiple housings (6.2) on each, has features that serve multiple purposes on the body, and notch (6.1) that is located on the tip of each inner hand tool (6), whichallows locking of opposing inner hand tool (6) by being inserted in the housing (6.2) around the pivot area when the tool comes to the desired position or closed andat least one nail nick (6.3) that is located on the back of the tip of each inner hand tools (6), from which the tools are released when mutually opened simultaneously.

Since the inventive multi-purpose hand tool / multitool (1) can be completely disassembled and reassembled, this provides the user with customization by removing the tools that are not required according to the area of use and replacing the tools that has been removed with the required tools and thus provides ergonomics of use. Said customization process is carried out by easily removing and installing the screws (2).

Two inner hand tools (6) are released with simultaneously pulling the nail nicks (6.3) of the reciprocating inner hand tools (6) of the inventive multi-purpose hand tool / multitool (1). When the desired inner hand tool (6) is brought to the desired use position, the opposing inner hand tool (6) is closed into the body and locked by placing the notch (6.1) in the housing (6.2) of the reciprocating tool.

The most important feature of the inventive multi-purpose hand tool / multitool(l) is that it provides ease of use and safety of use against possible closures by giving the user the opportunity to lock the tools in the desired angle and position according to the way of use with the help of the geometrical shape of the inner hand tools (6) therein, having notches (6.1) and multiple housings (6.2) that interlock with each other.
