Abstract:
A multi-chain CVT using differentials. The multi-chain CVT is implemented by using one or more layers of differentials, and is used for solving the problem of conventional single-chain or single-belt CVTs being incapable of bearing high-torque transmission and incapable of matching with high-torque engines and the problem of influence on traffic safety and gearbox reliability caused by instant work stop of a gearbox and power output stop due to slippage, rupture, or damage of the conventional single-chain or single-belt CVTs. Also disclosed is an adjusting method for the transmission ratio of the multi-chain CVT, so that the transmission ratio range can be extended. Also disclosed is a detecting method for the multi-chain CVT, so that the reliability can be improved.
