Abstract:
Provided is a motor wherein a rotor has: a core affixed to a shaft; a coil for exciting the core; and a commutator electrically connected to the coil. A back cover has a back cover bottom surface section and also has a back cover circular cylinder section cylindrically provided to the outer periphery of the back cover bottom surface section. A brush card assembly has: a brush cover bottom surface section axially separated by a first air gap from the back cover bottom surface section and holding a plurality of brushes; a gripped section gripped by the back cover and a housing; an outer peripheral wall radially separated by a second air gap from the back cover circular cylinder section; and a contact section provided on the outer peripheral wall and in contact with the back cover circular cylinder section. The housing and/or the back cover has a flow passage hole for providing communication between an outer space and the first air gap and/or the second air gap.
