Abstract:
One embodiment of a motor unit according to the present invention is a motor unit that is connected to an engine and comprises: a generator that generates electricity using the motive force of the engine; a motor; and a transmission mechanism that transfers power between the engine, the generator, and the motor, and outputs the motive forces of the engine and the motor from an output shaft. The transmission mechanism has an engine drive shaft that extends along an engine axis and that the engine causes to rotate, an engine drive gear that is fixed to the engine drive shaft and rotates around the engine axis, and an output shaft that has the motive force of the engine drive gear transmitted thereto and outputs the same externally. The generator has a rotor, and a stator that surrounds the rotor. The rotor is fixed to the engine drive shaft and rotates around the engine axis. The rotor has rotor magnets that face the stator in a radial direction of the engine axis. The rotor magnets have eight or more poles.
