Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: an inverter which energizes a motor having a rotor by turning on some arms among all arms in accordance with PWM signals in respective phases; a current detector which is connected to the direct current side of the inverter; and a current detection unit which detects phase currents in respective phases that pass through the motor on the basis of currents that pass through the current detector. The current detection unit calculates detection values of the phase currents in the respective phases by subtracting an average value of offset currents in respective phases that pass through the current detector when the some arms are turned on while the rotor is idling in accordance with the PWM signals in the respective phases having the same duty ratio from values of phase currents in respective phases that pass through the current detector when arms that are the same as said some arms are turned on while the inverter is rotating the rotor in accordance with the PWM signals in the respective phases any of which has a duty ratio different from said same duty ratio.
