Abstract:
[Problem] To improve the performance of a molded resin object utilizable as a sliding member, by controlling the fine structure of a non-fibrous inorganic filler. [Solution] This molded resin object has a structure comprising a resin matrix and, dispersed therein, a non-fibrous inorganic filler phase and a fluororesin phase. The non-fibrous inorganic filler phase satisfies either of the requirements (a1) there are no particles of 10 μm or larger and (a2) 10 μm and larger particles have an average particle diameter less than 24 μm. Due to the non-fibrous inorganic filler phase dispersed as fine particles in the resin matrix, this molded resin object can have improved mechanical strength and sliding properties. The molded resin object can have further improved sliding properties, because the non-fibrous inorganic filler phase dispersed in the resin matrix inhibits the fluororesin phase from aggregating in the resin matrix.
