Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an improved adeno-associated virus (AAV)-binding protein having an enhanced binding ability to an AAV and a method for analyzing an AAV contained in a sample on the basis of difference in infection ability. This problem is solved by substituting amino acid residues at specific positions in the regions corresponding to extracellular region domain 1 (PKD1) and domain 2 (PKD2) of KIAA0319L (UniProt No. Q8IZA0) with other specific amino acid residues. This problem is solved by a method of analysis of an AAV that comprises: a step for adsorbing the AAV contained in a sample onto an adsorbent which comprises an insoluble carrier and a polypeptide containing at least an amino acid sequence corresponding to extracellular region domain 1 or domain 2 of KIAA0319L immobilized on the carrier; and a step for eluting the AAV adsorbed on the adsorbent with an eluent.
