Abstract:
A microelectronic sensor based on an open-gate, pseudo-conductive, high-electron mobility transistor (PC-HEMT) is incorporated into a segmented nut (segnut) to measure material strength and strain of the segnut. The segnut incorporating this sensor and a method for monitoring material strength and strain of the segnut are described.
