Description:
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DUAL CLUTCH TRASMISSTION SYSTEM

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DUAL CLUTCH TRASMISSTION SYSTEM .The present invention mainly used in automobile industries. In the present invention method for automatically controlling the gear shifting process by controlling the torque transfer of the clutches of a dual clutch transmission.

Background of the Invention

Generally speaking, land vehicles require a power train consisting of three basic components. These components include a power plant (such as an internal combustion engine), a power transmission, and wheels. The power transmission component is typically referred to simply as the“transmission.” Engine torque and speed are converted in the transmission in accordance with the tractive-power demand of the vehicle. Presently; there are two typical transmissions widely available for use in conventional motor vehicles. The first, and oldest type is the manually operated transmission. These transmissions include a foot operated start-up or launch clutch that engages and disengages the driveline with the power plant and a gearshift lever to selectively change the gear ratios within the transmission. When driving a vehicle having a manual transmission, the driver must coordinate the operation of the clutch pedal, the gearshift lever and the accelerator pedal to achieve a smooth and efficient shift from one gear to the next. The structure of a manual transmission is simple and robust and provides good fuel economy by having a direct power connection from the engine to the final drive wheels of the vehicle. Additionally, since the operator is given complete control over the timing of the shifts, the operator is able to dynamically adjust the shifting process so that the vehicle can be driven most efficiently. One disadvantage of the manual transmission is that there is an interruption in the drive connection during gear shifting. This results in losses in efficiency. In addition, there is a great deal of physical interaction required on the part of the operator to shift gears in a vehicle that employs a manual transmission.

The second, and newer choice for the transmission of power in a conventional motor vehicle is an automatic transmission. Automatic transmissions offer ease of operation. The driver of a vehicle having an automatic transmission is not required to use both hands, one for the steering wheel and one for the gearshift, and both feet, one for the clutch and one for the accelerator and brake pedal in order to safely operate the vehicle. In addition, an automatic transmission provides greater convenience in stop and go situations, because the driver is not concerned about continuously shifting gears to adjust to the ever- changing speed of traffic. Although conventional automatic transmissions avoid an interruption in the drive connection during gear shifting, they suffer from the disadvantage of reduced efficiency because of the need for hydrokinetic devices, such as torque converters, interposed between the output of the engine and the input of the transmission for transferring kinetic energy there between. In addition, automatic transmissions are typically more mechanically complex and therefore more expensive than manual transmissions

A typical multiple speed transmission having countershafts and co- planar gear sets uses countershaft gears with a different, dedicated gear pair or set to achieve each forward speed ratio. Accordingly, the total number of gears required in this typical design is two times the number of forward speeds, plus three for reverse. This necessitates a large number of required gear pairs, especially in transmissions that have a relatively large number of forward speed ratios.

While current transmissions achieve their intended purpose, the need for new and improved transmission configurations which exhibit improved performance, especially from the standpoints of efficiency, responsiveness and smoothness and improved packaging, primarily reduced size and weight, is essentially constant Accordingly, there is a need in the art for a transmission having improved packaging while providing desirable gear ratios and torque ranges. To overcome such limitations of manual and automatic transmission, system in the present invention, a novel method and system is use for dual clutch power transmission.

Object of the Invention

In the present invention due to use of dual clutch plates, reduce the fraction on facing and pressure which may increase the life of the same. In the another object, when the vehicle is running on 70-80 km./ hours speed and if accelerator is down .vehicle automatically cut the running speed and clutch automatically comes on ideal position and drive shaft connection with the engine is discontinuous and vehicle come in free riding position which use the kinetic energy of the vehicle and save the fuel cost.

The further embodiment of the present invention , due to dual clutch transmission power is very useful invention in the heavy traffic area and the area where more number of speed breakers are provided.

Further object of the present invention where the manual clutch plates are replace with pneumatic or power booster types system , which reduce the human effort to driver the vehicle,

Summary of the Invention

The present invented system consist following components

1. Drive shaft

2. Clutch bearing

3. facing

4. drum house

5. centrifugal weight

6. tensile spring

7. crank shaft

8. Bearing

9. Pressure plates BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

It will be convenient to further describe the present invention with respect to the accompanying drawings that illustrate possible arrangements of the invention. Other arrangements of the invention are possible, and consequently the particularity of the accompanied drawings is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

Figure 1 Represent the system where the manual clutch system is provided on drum house

Figure 2 Represent the present invented dual clutch plate system

Figure 3 Represent the present invented system drum house

The present invented system consist following components

1. Drive shaft

2. Clutch bearing

3. facing

4. drum house

5. centrifugal weight

6. tensile spring

7. crank shaft

8. Bearing

9. Pressure plates

As shown in Fig.1 , manual clutch plate system is fitted on drum house, where the clutch plate is operates by bearing. In the present invention, drum house crank shaft is fitted on bearing so, when the engine is at their ideal speed , drum house is not rotating and when the engine is at accelerator speed , drum house is also rotating. The manual clutch plates are provided on the said drum house so, when the clutch plate is release , drive shaft is also rotating and power is transmitted. The other system is as per the manual cutch system which is often seen in Indian four vehicles.

In the Fig.2, centrifugal clutch system is shown when the engine is at their ideal position .clutch is not connected with drum house . When the accelerator system is use , engine RMP is increase and clutch plates comes in contact with the drum house , which rotates the drum house . Hear centrifugal weight , tensile spring , clutch plates and drum house are joints which is jointly called the centrifugal clutch system.

Fig. 3 is block system of the present invented system. Where the facing design is made is such a way the engine rotation is done in clockwise and so facing is also rotates in clockwise. When the facing is rotating the cylindrical ball , lock the facing hub due to the tension creates in it and rotates the drive shaft in clockwise direction so, vehicle is run and when the accelerator has applied and drive is rotates but facing is release due to cylindrical ball which is not required to operate the clutch for manual operation. By this way gear has changed by cutting the accelerator sheet.
