Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and system for simulating an artifact in magnetic resonance echo-planar imaging. First, in respect of K-space artifacts, K-space data is restored by using normal magnetic resonance images, the K-space data is modified in a targeted manner, and then an image having an artifact is reconstructed; and in respect of magnetization artifacts, a magnetization model is constructed by using normal magnetic resonance images, a magnetic field distribution is reconstructed, and then an image having a distortion artifact is reconstructed. According to the present invention, a large number of artifact data sets of different artifact types and artifact degrees can be quickly created by using a small number of normal images, to lay a foundation for research on identifying, eliminating, or reducing artifacts. Compared with other image domain artifact simulation methods, the present invention designs a simulation algorithm according to the principle of EPI sequence artifact generation, and obtained images such as stripe artifacts, Moiré artifacts, Nyquist artifacts, and magnetization artifacts have high scientificity, accuracy, and interpretability.
