Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for removing tritium included in radioactive wastewater, the method comprising the steps of: (a) introducing, to a first reactor in an aerobic state, microalgae and radioactive wastewater comprising tritium; and (b) synthesizing carbohydrates in the cells of the microalgae, through a photosynthesis process of the microalgae in the first reactor, carried out using the tritium, carbon dioxide, and light, wherein the tritium is included as a component of the carbohydrates synthesized in the cells of the microalgae.
