Abstract:
This method for removing copper from lithium ion battery scrap is a method for removing copper from lithium ion cell scrap that contains copper, wherein the method comprises: a leaching step for adding the lithium ion battery scrap to an acidic solution, and leaching the lithium ion battery scrap under conditions in which a solid of aluminum is present in the acidic solution; and a copper separation step following the leaching step, for separating copper included as a solid in the acidic solution from the acidic solution.
