Abstract:
This method for regenerating a water-softening device 10 involves the use of a water-softening device 10 provided with a water-softening tank 12 that accommodates a weakly acidic cation exchange resin, an electrolysis tank 14 that generates acidic electrolyzed water, a regenerated water preparation unit 130 that supplies regenerated water used in a regeneration process, and a chelating agent sustained-release unit 78 that releases a chelating agent into the regenerated water preparation unit in a sustained manner, the regeneration process having a regenerating first step and a regenerating second step that is performed subsequently to the regenerating first step, the regenerating first step involving using, as the regenerated water, first regenerated water 301 composed of acidic electrolyzed water generated by the electrolysis tank 14, and the regenerating second step involving using, as the regenerated water, second regenerated water 302 including the chelating agent, which chelates hard components.
