Title:
METHOD FOR REGENERATING CATALYST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBONATE ESTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/065549
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of achieving: a method for making it possible to reuse a catalyst for carbonate ester production by restoring activity to the catalyst with a simple procedure and without complicated steps such as firing; and a method for using said regenerated catalyst to produce carbonate ester at high yield. This problem is solved by a method for regenerating a catalyst containing CeO2, which is used in a carbonate ester generation reaction for generating carbonate ester from carbon dioxide and alcohol, wherein the method for regenerating the catalyst includes: (a) a separation step for separating the catalyst out as a crude catalyst from a reaction solution of carbon dioxide and alcohol; and (b) a catalyst treatment step for cleaning the crude catalyst with cleaning alcohol to make a purified catalyst.
