Abstract:

The present invention acquires an image of an immunochromatographic test piece (S1), sets a rectangular detection window including one colored region in the image (S2), and determines a hue value range Hmin- Hmax in which the colored region can be distinguished from the background region in the detection window (S3). The present invention counts pixels having hue values in the range Hmin- Hmax in the detection window and obtains the area of the colored region, and divides the area of the colored region by the length of the long side of the detection window and obtains the width W of the colored region (S4). The present invention determines the minimum value Smin of the chroma with respect to the pixels having the hue values in the range of Hmin- Hmax in the detection window (S5). The present invention calculates the area Δ of a triangle when approximating the cross-section along the long side of the detection window to the triangle having the base of W and the height of Smin in the colored region (S6) and obtains, from the area Δ, an amount of an object to be detected on the basis of the correlation which was obtained between the area Δ and the amount of the object-to-be-detected related to the colored region (S7).
