Title:
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PARTICULARLY NOISE DAMPENED ROLLER BEARINGS FOR HIGH-SPEED APPLICATIONS AND ASSOCIATED ROLLER BEARINGS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2006072386
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the production of particularly noise dampened roller bearings for high-speed applications as radial or axial bearings, particularly in the form of an angular ball bearing, wherein the roller bodies roll on the tracks of bearing races, the bearing races are arranged on bearing surfaces of preferably non-metal intermediate layers and the intermediate layers are arranged on inner wall surfaces of roller bearing races. According to the invention, the intermediate layers are firmly connected to the wall surfaces prior to the assembly of the roller bearing and the bearing surfaces for the bearing races are then adapted to the outer shape of the bearing races by machining or other shaping. According to the invention, in the roller bearing thus produced, the intermediate layer is made of a non-metallic material which can be firmly joined to the wall surfaces and which can be adapted by machining or other forms of shaping to the outer shape of the bearing races.
