Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a stator for a rotary electric machine, said method including: a preparation step for preparing a workpiece obtained by mounting a plurality of coil pieces forming a stator coil to a stator core, and in which the tip sections of one coil piece and another coil piece on one end side in the axial direction are joined together; an immersion step in which, after the preparation step, the workpiece is immersed in a tank of a liquid resin material so that a part to be impregnated including the joined part of the joined tip sections is immersed; and a rotation step in which, after the immersion step, the workpiece is rotated while in a workpiece raising position at which the part to be impregnated is away from the tank. The rotation step includes rotating the workpiece around a workpiece central axis corresponding to the stator central axis while the workpiece is oriented so that the part to be impregnated faces in a direction intersecting the vertical direction.
