Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a sintered ore capable of improving yield of a sintered ore in the upper part of a charge layer by increasing the proportion of a coagulating material in the upper layer of a pallet without introducing any new equipment to thereby extend a period for retaining the upper part of the charge layer in a high temperature condition. The method for producing a sintered ore comprises sintering a granulated raw material to be sintered in a sintering machine, wherein: the raw material to be sintered contains an iron-containing raw material that includes 5% by mass or more, in relation to the total mass of the raw material to be sintered, of a powder iron ore having a particle size of 10 μm or less, 3%-7% by mass, in relation to the total mass of the raw material to be sintered, of a coagulating material that includes 50% by mass or more of a coke breeze having a particle size of 1 mm or less, and a CaO-containing raw material; at least the iron-containing raw material is stirred before granulation of the raw material to be sintered; and a part or the whole of the coagulating material is mixed and granulated in a 50%-95% elapsed time in the total granulation period of the raw material to be sintered, when the total granulation period is taken as 0%-100% elapsed time from the start to the end thereof.
