Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide nonwoven fabric obtained using poly(lactic acid) as a starting material. Also provided is a method for producing nonwoven fabric from a starting material based on poly(lactic acid), the method including: a spinning step in which a molten poly(lactic acid)-based resin is ejected from a nozzle and drawn by an air stream, thereby making the poly(lactic acid)-based resin fibrous; and a fusion bonding step in which the fibers of the poly(lactic acid)-based resin are passed through heated rolls and fusion-bonded to each other. In the spinning step, the poly(lactic acid)-based resin is made to have a fiber diameter of 15 μm or smaller.
