Abstract:
The present invention relates to the preparation of a recombinant strain to which a gene coding for a recombinant photosynthetic enzyme into which squalene epoxidase and cytochrome P450 reductase are translationally fused, a gene coding for a recombinant enzyme in which dammarenediol II synthase, protopanaxadiol synthase, and cytochrome 450 reductase are translationally fused, and a gene coding for UDP-glycosyltransferase are introduced, and a method for production of ginsenoside compound-K by using same, with squalene serving as a starting substrate. The method of the present invention can secure a yield of compound-K of 0.74 g/L or more per day, and can achieve maximum product yield efficiently and quickly in a short time, compared to conventional methods.
