The invention relates to the hydro-metallurgical processing of ore concentrates, more specifically to the processing of a loparite concentrate, and can be used for the complex extraction of titanium, niobium and tantalum compounds therefrom. The inventive method consists in breaking the loparite concentrate by mineral acid and heating in such a way that hydrates cake is produced. The novelty of the invention lies in that the loparite concentrate is broken down by 26-32 % chlorhydric acid in such a way that the degree of breakdown ranging from 70 to 90 % is obtained. Afterwards, the non-broken concentrate is separated, the liquid phase is evaporated to 10-30 % of volume, chlorhydric acid vapour being retained and condensed. Afterwards, the liquid phase is diluted with water, an initiating additive in a quantity of 2-10 % of the mass of the initial concentrate is introduced therein and said liquid phase is boiled during 3-6 hours in order to produce the hydrate cake. The inventive method is simple for carrying out and requires standard equipment. Said method makes it possible to reduce the process duration approximately by two times with respect to a prototype, and to increase the purity of the hydrate cake by reducing iron oxides content approximately by 3 times and thorium content by 20 times.
