Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predictive maintenance of a cylinder using a pressure difference, wherein a pressure difference between the internal pressure of the cylinder and the internal pressure of a main pipe for supplying the cylinder with a hydraulic pressure or pneumatic pressure supplied from a conventional pressure device is detected in an operating range in which the cylinder's rod moves forwards and backwards, thereby collecting pressure difference waveforms regarding the operating range, a steady-state model waveform is constructed on the basis of the collected pressure difference information, a matching threshold regarding the constructed steady-state model waveform is then set, and if the detected matching ratio between the pressure difference waveform collected from the cylinder which operates in real time and the steady-state model waveform is below a matching threshold, the cylinder is recognized as being in an abnormal state, and a warning is issued regarding same such that the cylinder can be repaired and replaced at an appropriate time, thereby preventing a substantial loss which would otherwise occur if the cylinder fails.
