Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method for positioning, and a terminal device and a network device. The method comprises: a terminal device acquiring first information during an initial access process, wherein the first information is used for positioning the terminal device, and the first information is associated with direction information of the terminal device relative to a base station. On the basis of the technical solution, the terminal device may acquire, during an initial access process, first information associated with direction information of the terminal device relative to a base station, in other words, the terminal device may acquire the first information before entering an RRC connected state, such that the delay of the terminal device acquiring the direction information can be reduced, thereby facilitating a reduction in a positioning delay.
