Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a wet friction plate with which the efficiency of an operation for forming a fine groove in a friction material can be improved, a wet friction plate, and a wet multiple-plate clutch device provided with the wet friction plate. In the method for manufacturing a wet friction plate 200, a core metal 201 and a friction material 210 are prepared in a first step, and then resin layers 203 are formed on the core metal 201 in a second step. The resin layers 203 are formed on the entirety of the two plate surfaces of the core metal 201. Subsequently, in a third step, the friction material 210 is adhered to the resin layers 203 of the core metal 201. Subsequently, in a fourth step, fine grooves 211 are formed in the friction material 210. Specifically, the irradiation of an exposed section 205 of the core metal 201 with a laser beam L is begun, and a laser head 301 is displaced into an annular shape while continuously emitting the laser beam L. Accordingly, annular fine grooves 204, 211 are formed in the exposed section 205 of the core metal 201 and the friction material 210.
