Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a joint boot for uniformly molding the wall thickness of a bellows part. A cylindrical parison (15) formed of a first portion (12) corresponding to a large diameter side mounting part (2), a second portion (13) corresponding to a small diameter side mounting part (4), and a third portion (14) connecting these both portions to each other is injection-molded by using a molding material. After the parison is cooled, the parison (15) is supported on a support body (16) so that the third portion (14) can concentrically surround the vertical intermediate part (21) of the support body (16) at a clearance. Only the third portion (14) among the first portion, the second portion, and the third portion is heated, from the radial outer side, to a set temperature by a heater (B), and then the third portion is covered by an outer mold (51), a gas is jetted to the inner peripheral surface of the third portion, and the third portion is pressed against the outer mold to blow-mold the bellows part (5).
