Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a hub seal according to one embodiment of the present invention involves: setting a set rotation speed at which a foreign substance having entered into an upstream space S of a hub seal (1) is to be located at a desired foreign substance surface position in a radial direction as a result of rotation of the hub seal (1), and designing the shape of a side lip (4) such that the torque of the hub seal (1) at the set rotation speed has a desired value, whereby a hub seal is manufactured so as to achieve the hub seal (1) having the side lip (4) in the designed shape.
