Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a stacking-folding-type electrode assembly using a negative electrode structure in which a negative electrode including a lithium metal layer is interposed between two separators. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: positioning the lithium metal layer so as to protrude in the width direction between the two separators; manufacturing the negative electrode structure by laminating the lithium metal layer and the separators; stacking one positive electrode on the negative electrode structure and folding the negative electrode structure in the width direction so as to surround the positive electrode; manufacturing an electrode laminate including a plurality of positive electrodes by repeating the previous steps; and forming a negative electrode tab by cutting a portion of the lithium metal layer protruding in the width direction, and bonding the negative electrode tab. The method of manufacturing the electrode assembly can minimize the processing of lithium metal, and thus can improve the productivity of the electrode assembly.
