Abstract:
Provided is a method for improving hygroscopic-state braking performance of a microporous friction material, comprising adding a hydrophobic agent into the components for preparing the microporous friction material, the microporous friction material is prepared from the raw materials consisting of the following components by weight percentages: 10%-20% of a phenolic resin modified by nano silicon dioxide, 4%-14% of a styrene butadiene rubber, 5%-15% of a glass fiber, 2%-11% of an aramid pulp, 4%-15% of an aluminum borate crystal whisker, 4%-10% of a hydrophobic agent, 3%-8% of calcium silicate, 1%-8% of an artificial graphite, 2%-8% of a coke, 2%-7% of mica, 5%-10% of cryolite and 4%-10% of diatomite. Compared with the prior art, the prepared microporous brake shoe has a high and stable friction coefficient in the hygroscopic state with a greatly improved hygroscopic-state braking performance and an improved thermal decay, the brake shoe has no metal inlays with low noise and good wear resistance, prolonging the service life of the brake shoe. In addition, it is also ensured that the friction material does not cause abnormal abrasion to the tread of a wheel.
