A power conversion device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a rectification unit for rectifying input current; N (N>1) switches connected to an output of the rectification unit to control the output of the rectification unit; and at least one processor for: comparing an input current value which is output from the rectification unit and allows conduction of at least one of the N switches with a current limit value that one switch among the N switches needs to control; as a result of the comparison, when the input current value is smaller than (N-1)*(current limit value) and greater than (N-2)*(current limit value), determining a current command value for each of (N-1) switches so that current corresponding to the input current value is conducted through the (N-1) switches; and when the input current value is greater than (N-1)*(current limit value), determining a current command value for each of the N switches so that current corresponding to the input current value is conducted through the N switches.
