Abstract:
In order to reduce the occurrence of condensation at fixed contacts of a power supply relay during an interruption operation of the power supply relay, a steering angle main control module (8) is provided inside a housing (34), the steering angle main control module (8) having a motor drive circuit (32) connected to the fixed contact (31c) of the power supply relay (31) via a bus bar (44), and a phase relay (33) connected to the motor drive circuit (32) via a bus bar (46), the motor drive circuit (32) being provided in contact with a heat radiation part (45) having higher thermal conductivity than the power supply relay (31). Also, after the ignition is turned off, with the switches for the power supply relay (31) and the phase relay (33) left in the on state, a motor powering control for maintaining a rotation stop state in a steering angle main motor (13) via the power supply relay (31), the motor drive circuit (32), and the phase relay (33), is held for a prescribed amount of time, and after the prescribed amount of time has elapsed, the switch of the power supply relay (31) is switched to off.
