Abstract:
A method for controlling the sound output of a first audio playback apparatus is provided. The first audio playback apparatus can operate in a simultaneous listening mode together with a second audio playback apparatus and, in the simultaneous listening mode, each of the first audio playback apparatus and the second audio playback apparatus operates according to each corresponding sound output configuration such that content sound is output on the basis of an audio content signal received using streaming, through a communication connection, from a corresponding content provision apparatus. According to the method, a conversation request generated from the second audio playback apparatus can be detected while the first audio playback apparatus and the second audio playback apparatus are operating in the simultaneous listening mode. According to the method, the first audio playback apparatus leaves the simultaneous listening mode and enters a conversation mode in response to the detection of the conversation request, and the sound output configuration corresponding to the first audio playback apparatus can be changed. The method can control that the first audio playback apparatus outputs the content sound on the basis of the changed sound output configuration while operating in the conversation mode.
