Title:
METHOD OF CONTROLLING RESTART STANDBY OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, AND RESTART STANDBY CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/053762
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine (1) is provided with a belt-type starter/generator (4), and performs idle-stop when the vehicle is stopped. In the process of decreasing the engine rotational speed while cutting fuel in preparation for the stopping of the vehicle, preliminary powering of the starter/generator (4) is performed to suppress a decrease in restarting response due to slackness in a belt (9). The belt tension during deceleration periodically changes microscopically, due to pulsation in the engine rotational speed, between periods in which the tension is relatively high and periods in which the tension is relatively low. In the high tension periods, no slackness in the belt (9) is caused. Accordingly, a preliminary powering torque is only provided in the low tension periods.
