Abstract:
The present invention is a method for treating a metallic member using a treatment furnace, the method comprising a step for introducing an activation atmosphere gas into the treatment furnace, a step for heating the activation atmosphere gas in the treatment furnace to a first temperature, a step for introducing a nitriding atmosphere gas or a soft nitriding atmosphere gas into the treatment furnace, and a step for heating the nitriding atmosphere gas or the soft nitriding atmosphere gas in the treatment furnace to a second temperature. The activation atmosphere gas can be introduced into the treatment furnace through an activation atmosphere gas introduction pipe. An organic solvent in a liquid form is introduced into the activation atmosphere gas introduction pipe, which is in a state where the introduction of the activation atmosphere gas has been continued, several times intermittently.
