Abstract:
An apparatus for evaluating characteristics of a solid-based quantum light source, according to the present disclosure, includes: an image obtainment unit that obtains a photoluminescence image of a solid sample by radiation from a first light source to a solid sample; a control unit that identifies, on the basis of the obtained photoluminescence image, the location of a quantum light source in the solid sample, and allows radiation, to the location of the quantum light source, from a second light source for evaluation of characteristics; and a characteristic evaluation unit that evaluates characteristics of the quantum light source by using the correlation between optical signals over time, the optical signals being split into two paths after having been emitted from the location of the quantum light source by the second light source.
