Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for creating a tablespace, a storage medium, and an electronic device. The method comprises: receiving a tablespace creation instruction; according to identifiers of servers carried in the creation instruction, in a distributed database, determining the servers corresponding to the identifiers as specified servers; according to the capacity of a tablespace to be created and the remaining storage spaces of the specified servers carried in the creation instruction, determining storage spaces of which the total capacity is said capacity; creating a virtual file of said capacity on the basis of the determined storage spaces; and creating a tablespace containing the virtual file. In the method, according to the remaining storage spaces of the specified servers in the distributed database and the capacity of the tablespace to be created, the virtual file is created on the basis of the determined storage spaces of which the total capacity is said capacity, so that the remaining storage spaces of originally dispersed specified servers can be unified by means of the virtual file, and a tablespace containing the virtual file can be created, so as to achieve the function of a cross-server tablespace under a share-nothing architecture.
