Abstract:
A first releasable transfer layer (12) is attached to the surface of an electrophotographic sensitive member (11), and a toner image (3) having at least one color is formed on the first transfer layer (12) by an ordinary electrophotographic process. A second transfer layer (13) is formed on the toner image (3), and then the toner image (3) with the first and second transfer layers (12 and 13) is transferred to an object material (16), thereby obtaining a color image. In this way, the resulting toner image has excellent transferability without the overlapping of colors. Further, a fine and quality color image can be obtained constantly and easily. The releasability of the transfer layers from the photosensitive member and adhesion to the object material are excellent. Further, retouchability, printability and preservation property can be improved.
